What & Why is a blog / newsletter / scrapbook that holds the thinking behind how communities and products come to life. Posts cover what's shipping in beehiiv's community product, why it's built the way it is, and what I've learned about building communities along the way.
Who writes it?
Hi! I'm Alifya, Head of Community Product @ beehiiv. I work on things like the community product, the strategy, the launches and growth. Before beehiiv I was Head of Product at Workweek, where I launched and built its five professional network/community products. I’ve launched and run all sorts of communities from B2B to lifestyle on many platforms. Now, I get to help build the version for beehiiv users and their members.
Who is it for?
Product managers, founders and creators who build communities or products people gather around, and anyone curious about how beehiiv's community features get made.
How often does it come out?
Once a week on Thursdays, but if I miss a send, it’s because we’re about to launch something extra neat.
