October 2026

Oct 1, 2026

NEW

Image carousels

Images no longer hide behind the "Read more" blur. A single image with no text below it now appears full width, and "Read more" only collapses the text above it. Add two or more images to the end of a post and they display as a carousel, with the next image peeking in from the right. Photos and GIFs combine into the same carousel. Posts with images between paragraphs keep the current treatment.

IMPROVED

Clearer post destinations

Members now pick where a post lands from the composer: the Feed, or a channel. A post started from the Feed goes to the Feed by default, and a post started from a channel goes to that channel. Members can switch it either way, and the destination selector is much easier to spot. New communities also start with just a feed and no default channel, so you decide if and when to add channels. Admins, community managers and moderators can also move posts between the Feed and channels.

NEW

Comment previews in the feed

Posts with comments now show one comment underneath in the Feed. If someone a member follows commented, that comment shows. Otherwise it's the most recent one. "Show more comments" opens the full thread right there in the Feed.

IMPROVED

Upgrading inside the community

Members can upgrade without leaving the community: pick a plan and pay in the same window, or unlock a paid channel straight from a locked post. Each locked post shows one unlock button naming its channel, and after paying, members see every channel their purchase opened.

NEW

Member directory

Members can find each other by the profile fields that matter to that community, with Online Now and Near Me filters. It's off by default, it can be renamed, and any member can hide themselves.

IMPROVED

Read-only channels

Any channel can be made read-only, so only admins, Community Managers and moderators post there. Members can still comment and react, which makes it a good fit for announcements.

NEW

Community comments on your web posts

Turn on comment sync and synced web posts show the community's comment thread in place of website comments. It's one conversation in one place, and readers join the community to take part.
